  • Bridgestone Turanza GR-100 - Let the good times roll

    14 Oct 2014

Let the good times roll with the Bridgestone Turanza GR-100 as it enhances every single journey with first-class comfort.

Active automotive safety technologies such as ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) are vital safety systems that help to reduce accidents on the road.

However, in order to ensure that these technologies work effectively and assure safety, it is equally important to have good-quality tyres fitted to a vehicle.

    Bridgestone Turanza GR-100

The Bridgestone Turanza GR-100 provides drivers with superior riding comfort and driving stability, allowing them to have peace of mind during their journey
Building on the advancements of the Turanza GR Series and replacing its popular predecessor, the GR-90, the Turanza GR-100 is Bridgestone's top-of-the-range comfort tyre, featuring advanced technologies and decades of accumulated research and development to complement the performance of world-class luxury sedans.

    Ride Stability

The Turanza GR-100 offers an exceptionally smooth ride achieved via the tyres' asymmetrical sidewalls and pattern design. The optimised asymmetrical shape in the tyre's sidewalls enables drivers to enjoy outstanding straight-line travelling dynamics while minimising lateral forces caused by uneven and undulating roads.

    Ride Comfort

On the other hand, its asymmetrical tread pattern features enlarged size blocks in the outer tread that improves stability for driving comfort on highways. Additionally, the interior tread pattern features grooves placed closer inside to improve the dispersion of water for assured handling in wet conditions.

    Low Noise

The Turanza GR-100 was developed with a two-faceted approach, first by creating technologies to minimise noise production, and then implementing ways to minimise the transmission of noise into the cabin, making it Bridgestone's leading noise-reducing tyre.

As the 3D Helmholtz Resonator is more compact than previous systems, additional resonators have been placed on all four grooves to disperse air pressure for a quiet, comfortable ride
One of the newly developed technologies, the 3D Helmholtz Resonator, creates a natural vacuum that pulls air from the grooves to minimise noise production.

In addition to the 3D Helmholtz Resonator, the Turanza GR-100 also features the new 3D Diamond pattern inside the tyre.
While a major source of cabin noise comes from vibration generated via road contact, the 3D Diamond Pattern creates steps that dampen vibration, preventing it from passing through the tyre and thus realising superior quietness that contributes to a pleasant journey.

Working hand in hand with these technologies is the Silent AC Block, which features a rounded 3D design that optimises contact with the road to reduce noise levels. More impressively, the Silent AC Block remains effective even as the tyres start to wear out.

    Assured Confidence

Inheriting the Turanza Series' key characteristic of promising drivers with superior performance, the Turanza GR-100 features Bridgestone's world-class technologies, such as the 'Square Shoulder' design that ensures a flatter contact surface between the tyre and the road, enabling minimised irregular wear for complete confidence on the road.

Drivers seeking utmost confidence in their tyres are guaranteed to find it in the Turanza GR-100, which is available in a wide range of sizes from 15-inch to 19-inch rim diameters
More importantly, The Turanza GR-100 employs an advanced silica compound that has been designed to deliver excellent performance on wet and dry roads, while reducing rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency.

To top it all off, the Turanza GR-100 is available with the exclusive Bridgestone Premium Coverage. Under the scheme, all Turanza GR-100 tyres purchased within the first three months that are damaged beyond repair are eligible for replacement, subject to terms and conditions.

    Bridgestone

The roots of Bridgestone's dream date back to the establishment of Bridgestone Tire Co., Ltd. in 1931. As Japan's automobile industry grew, the Bridgestone Group expanded its business to become the largest Japanese tyre manufacturer. The company also actively expanded overseas, particularly in Asia.

Wherever vehicles carry people and goods, Bridgestone supplies world-class tyres and supports these tyres with world-class services.

Established in 2001, Bridgestone Tyre Sales Singapore is wholly owned by the Bridgestone Group and handles the distribution of Bridgestone brands for trucks, buses, light trucks, vans, passenger cars, forklifts, farm services, motorcycles and racing karts.

    Why Bridgestone?

Ever since it was founded, Bridgestone has placed great emphasis on quality assurance. As such, every genuine Bridgestone tyre has a 'Tag of Assurance' to certify its authenticity
While Bridgestone makes tyres for every kind of vehicle, terrain and usage, two qualities remain constant - safety and reliability. Bridgestone's R&D activities also make full use of technologies at the highest level in the industry, as the brand aims to improve the quality and performance of tyres.

Quality is not only a goal to which Bridgestone aspires in connection with its products, services and technology. Bridgestone's commitment to quality is one that is worldwide - sharing the values of the community, including the universal desire for a sound environment, and working conscientiously to improve the quality of life for people everywhere.

Bridgestone has a wide range of authorised distributors and retailers located around Singapore. Their information can be found here.
