Engineered on the advanced Stellantis STLA Medium platform, one of the all-new Jeep Compass' biggest challenges was to harmonise aerodynamic efficiency whilst retaining Jeep's bold, boxy silhouette.
Thus, Jeep's engineering teams achieved this through innovative design features, including a fully flat underbody (invisible to the eye but critical in managing airflow), active grille shutters integrated into the bumper (that close when cooling is not required), aero-optimised wheels, and rear aerodynamic enhancements such as sharp trailing edges, holders on the quarter glass, a roof spoiler, and functional air curtains in its rear wheel arches (more commonly seen on high-performance sports cars than SUVs).
By prioritising aerodynamic efficiency in the BEV variant and offering up to 650km of range, Jeep extended the benefits across its multi-energy lineup. This includes hybrid and hybrid plug-in versions, all of which enjoy the same advancements in aerodynamic engineering.
The aerodynamic improvements directly translate into increased electric range, reduced consumption, and enhanced driving stability, making the new Compass the perfect choice for both eco-conscious drivers and adventure seekers alike.
