Audi pulls the covers off its new A6 allroad

The all-new, fifth gen Audi A6 allroad is the German marque's latest offering and has been built with a wide body for the first time. This makes it exactly 11cm wider than the A6 Avant.
The A6 allroad's upper section draws inspiration from the clean lines of its model series, while its lower section emphasises the rugged and practical personality of the off-road Avant - as do specific design elements at the front, rear, and sides. Functional air vents behind the front wheels accentuate its width even further.
Vertical, hexagon-shaped design elements enhance the off-road look and - alongside 19-inch wheels - also accentuate the higher ground clearance of the A6 allroad. Both the grille of the Singleframe and those of the large side air intakes adopt the allroad-specific hexagon design, while the underbody protection at the front and the rear, as well as the side skirts, feature the signature allroad design.
Inside, like the other models in the A6 series, the A6 allroad features a modern infotainment system and numerous digital features. The centrepiece is the free-standing MMI panoramic display with a curved design and OLED technology. It comprises the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit, the 14.5-inch MMI touch display, and the optional 10.9-inch MMI passenger display.
In addition to sports seats, the A6 allroad is available with individual contoured seats featuring ventilation and a massage function. Their pneumatically adjustable seat and backrest bolsters, adaptable lumbar support, and electrically adjustable thigh support allow for personalised comfort. Numerous features also increase the well-being on board, including the dimmable panoramic glass roof.
For the first time, the A6 allroad is available as a plug-in hybrid for the first time. This sees the combination of a 2.0 TFSI engine and an electric motor that delivers a system output of 362bhp and 500Nm of torque. This option comes with a 25.9kWh battery that provides up to 95km of all-electric driving.
As for the other mild-hybrid option, this sees a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine offering an output of 295bhp and 580Nm of torque. This version hits the century sprint in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.
