In the coming months of February and March of 2009, Bentley will host the "Power on Ice" programme on a frozen lake in Finland. And in case you're not familiar with that country, it's the one with plenty of world-class racing drivers, and also probably the most top-class rally drivers in the world.
Guests will get to power slide a range of Bentley Continental GT or GT Speeds, Flying Spurs and even the 600 bhp Flying Spur Speeds and conditions in the region regularly see temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius. No pressure. That's why Bentley have chosen Finnish rally driver, Juha Kankkunen, who will be the coach of small groups, each no larger than 18 guests. He will be spending three days teaching customers, well, how to drive like a Finn on ice, presumably.
And when they're not in the car, performing graceful ballerina-like slides around the centre of Finland, they will be spending their time in a private holiday village specially created by Bentley, enjoying modern conveniences and also food by Finnish chef, Jarmi Pitkänen. There will also be snowmobile joy rides and participants will even get to drive a dog-sledding team themselves.
But, hurry if you're interested as places are limited. The price of the all-inclusive package will cost between 7,590 and 8,990 Euros. Bookings can be made on www.bentleydriving.com or through Bentley's local dealer, Malayan Motors.
