  • Busways opens new charging hub in Senoko!

Want to see just how fast your electric vehicle can charge up? There's a new charging hub in town that offers a 480kW charging point!

Those residing in the north will now find keeping their electric vehicles charged up quite a bit easier.

Busways, an electrical equipment supplier and installer, has opened a new electric car charging facility. Called the B'EV Terminal Charging Hub, the new facility is located in the north of our island and is described as Singapore's first ultra-fast charging facility.

A total of 12 electric vehicle charging plugs are offered at the new B'EV Terminal Charging Hub offering charging power ranging from 480kW to 180kW

And fast it is indeed: Those who need the fastest charging speeds will be pleased to note that there are two 480kW charging points at this new Busways charging facility, which means you should be able to charge up your XPENG G6 to a nearly full state-of-charge in just about 12 minutes.

Those with other more typical vehicles will be pleased to note that there are another 10 charging points at this charging hub capable of supplying up to 180kW or 360kW of power, which should be more than enough to maximise the charging speed of your regular commuter electric vehicle.

The hub also hosts an air-conditioned waiting area (complete with vending machines ready to disperse drinks and snacks) so you won't have to sweat it out or wait in the rain while your car is charging up! And it offers quite a nice view of the coast of Johor to boot.

Attendees to the launch event got to witness to 480kW charger in action and got to see the site's waiting area as well

And there's more still at this charging hub. Look upwards when you're charging up and you note there's a few wind generators at this location, on top of quite a few other solar panels atop the location's building that all contribute to the power utilised at this hub. These not only mean that part of the power utilised here comes from renewable sources but also reduces the charging hub's reliance on our nation's energy grid.

The B'EV Terminal Charging Hub will open 24 hours a day and on all days of the week, and private vehicle owners as well as fleet operators of commercial and heavy-duty vehicles are welcome to utilise the site's charging facilities.

Find the new B'EV Terminal Charging Hub at 27 Senoko Way, Singapore 758060. The B'EV charging app that will facilitate charging at this location is available to download via the Google Play store here.
