A male driver and his female passenger were treated to abrasions and body pain, after their blue sedan met with an accident with a tipper truck on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), towards the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), near the Bukit Panjang exit, reported The Straits Times.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told the local paper that it received a call about a car on fire at 1:20pm - after which it dispatched two fire bikes, a fire engine and a red rhino along with an ambulance to the accident scene.
The fire was extinguished in just five minutes, while the driver and his passenger were conveyed, in a conscious state, to National University Hospital (NUH).
