A team of Singapore scientists has gone against conventional logic to create a windscreen coating that keeps it clean and fog-free in rainy days. 

Contrary to the common technique used by similar products to repel water droplets, the new invention keeps reflective surfaces clean by attracting them. The patented technology allows water to form a thin, uniform and transparent layer on the surface for users to have a clearer vision.

Named CleanClear, the ceramic coating was invented by scientists from the A*STAR's Institute of Materials Research and Engineering.

Another benefit of the ceramic coating is that it forms a permanent bond with the surface, and lasts much longer than other coating products on the market now.
