September's first COE bidding exercise ended with very slight changes in COE premiums, with premiums for Cat A and B dropping, whilst premiums for Cat E rose very slightly.
Premiums for Cat A, for cars up to 1,600cc in engine capacity and with an output no more than 130bhp, dropped by $409, a decrease of 0.7 percent, to end the bidding tender at $57,089.
Prices for Cat B, larger cars with more than 130bhp or engine displacement larger than 1,600cc, went down by $39 (0.1 percent) and ended at $62,101.
In Cat E, the open category, premiums went up by $9 (0.01 percent), with premiums closing at $61,010.
With a less than one percent change in premiums across the board, it appears that COE prices are holding steady at the moment.
