With traffic speeds on expressways and arterial roads remaining optimal through June, the LTA has decided to continue the suspension of ERP charges.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced that Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) will remain suspended at all gantries until 26 July 2020.

The announcement comes after the LTA completed its first review of ERP rates following the end of circuit breaker. The LTA stated that the decision to continue the suspension of ERP charges was based on its monitoring of traffic conditions, traffic speeds on expressways and arterial roads through early June 2020, which have continued to remain optimal, despite the easing of circuit breaker measures.

With the move into Phase 2 of the end of circuit breaker, LTA stated that it will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely in order to be able to identify locations with congestion and determine the appropriate ERP charges, if any, during the next ERP rate review.

The outcome of the next ERP rate review will be announced in the fourth week of July 2020, and the appropriate ERP rates, if any, will take effect from 27 July 2020.
