  • Facelifted Kia Stonic unveiled with two powertrain options

    30 Sep 2025

The 2026 Stonic will be offered with a 99bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine option and a 113bhp mild-hybrid option.

Kia has unveiled the updated Stonic with fresh styling and a revamped interior to keep in line with the rest of the current Kia family.

The Stonic's new look is inspired by the brand’s "Opposites United" design philosophy, which gives the crossover a bolder, expressive look. Its front fascia features changes such as Kia's Star Map Signature Lighting, more prominent and structured front and lower grilles, and an updated front fender. Its rear features a new tailgate layout, taillight signature, an updated skid plate, and a cleaner rear bumper form.

The 2026 Stonic's dual-powertrain approach reinforces its role as a transition vehicle supporting a wide range of mobility options in its main market, which is Europe

These aesthetic changes are complemented by new wheel options across the range, including 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels, with the latter exclusively for the sportier 'GT-Line' trim. The 2026 Stonic's exterior palette has been updated with two expressive colours: Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue.

Two powertrain options are offered for the 2026 Kia Stonic: A 1.0-litre petrol engine option offering 99bhp and a mild-hybrid option offering 113bhp. Both options offer 172Nm of torque.

The 2026 Stonic's interior has a brand new feature, the panoramic dual display layout, which merges infotainment and vehicle information

Inside, the 2026 Stonic sports a new feature: A panoramic dual display layout consisting of two high-resolution 12.3-inch screens merging infotainment and vehicle information. Replacing traditional HVAC controls, the Multimode Touch Display allows drivers to toggle between climate settings and infotainment menus with ease. Other new features include new steering wheel designs, a resculpted gear knob and centre console, and an updated dashboard design.

Equipped with Kia Connect, the model offers cloud-based services and real-time vehicle diagnostics. Drivers can also remotely monitor, control, and interact with their vehicle via the Kia App, while the Digital Key feature allows the 2026 Stonic to be unlocked and started by using a supported smartphone or smartwatch.

With its refreshed design, advanced connectivity, and refined powertrain offering, the 2026 Kia Stonic is described as leading the way forward for compact crossovers.
