Hyundai Motor Group has launched a new Regeneration Studio with the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), in the U.S.A.

Described as the latest phase in a multi-year research partnership, the studio will explore the relationship between nature, art and design, and the future of mobility. It is set to research biological forms such as insect wings and seed pods and deepen our understanding of how whole ecosystems function, to generate advanced design solutions to restore our relationship with living systems.

Hyundai Motor Group's collaboration with the design school is currently in its fifth year, and brings designers from Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia together to work around the theme of 'Future Structures'. The programming for the year comprises a fall biomimicry seminar, spring studio courses and extended research into the rest of 2025, including week-long intensives and fellowships for Hyundai Motor Group designers and engineers.
