  • JD Classics wins at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance for sixth consecutive year

JD Classics has won a major prize at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - the world's most prestigious classic car event - for the sixth year in a row.

For the sixth year running, world-renowned classic car specialist JD Classics has won a major prize at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the world's most prestigious classic car event.

JD Classics was invited to enter with a 1950 Aston Martin DB2 'Washboard', one of just 50 ever produced, and picked up a third-in-class award. The car had been presented to JD Classics for major detailing by its owner and the Concours d'Elegance was its first concours appearance, making its award all the more impressive.

The judges were impressed with the work of JD Classics' technicians, awarding the DB2 third place in its class, just behind the second-place 1946 Delahaye Type 135 and class-winning 1953 Abarth 1100 Sport Ghia Coupe.

Derek Hood, Managing Director of JD Classics, said, "Winning a prize at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is an achievement in itself, but for JD Classics to win year after year for six years now is a real testament to the skill of our engineers and technicians in Maldon. At Pebble Beach you really are up against the best in the world, and these results just show we can proudly count ourselves among that rarefied company."
