Motor Image has launched the updated Subaru XV, which boasts exterior and interior refreshments as well as enhanced features, in the region.

In conjunction with the ongoing 32nd Thailand international Motor Expo 2015, Motor Image, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Southeast Asian region, held the regional launch of the 2016 Subaru XV. With the goal of enhancing the previous generation XV, the updated crossover offers customers with improved aesthetics, new features and an enjoyable driving experience.

It aims to build on the previous generation’s core values and further enhance the overall driving experience. This results in an energetic crossover that blends urban living with an active lifestyle, offering consumers with a stylish, practical vehicle.

The updated XV features Subaru’s unique hexagon grille and C-shaped head lights have been incorporated into the design of the vehicle, coupled with sharper contour lines running along them, fog lights, front bumper as well as the tail lamps.

Interior aesthetics have also been enhanced alongside quality leather wrapping around the seats and shift lever. The interior accentuates finesse in the smallest details such as the new orange stitching finish and a redesigned steering wheel for a more comfortable grip.

Additionally, technologies such as a premium multi-function display, push start and smart entry, as well as an electric driver seat have been included for maximised utility and an exhilarating driving experience.

Subaru's renowned 2.0-litre Horizontally-Opposed Boxer Engine offers an enjoyable, responsive drive coupled with excellent fuel economy. Producing 150bhp of horsepower and 196Nm of torque, the XV is able to achieve a fuel efficiency figure of 7.9L/100km. The combination of Subaru's All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system and the lower centre of gravity achieved from the Boxer engine allows the vehicle to safely manoeuvre across any terrain.

Safety is the core of every Subaru vehicle. With Symmetrical AWD, combined with Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system, the Subaru XV's handling remains nimble and smooth, regardless of the conditions of the road. Exceptional all-round safety instils confidence and security in drivers when they are behind the wheel of a Subaru vehicle.

At launch, only the 2.0-litre model is available. Fans of the XV in Singapore can expect to see the 1.6-litre model, which is scheduled to make its appearance at the 2016 Singapore Motor Show. The XV is available for booking at Subaru showrooms across Singapore from January 2016 onwards.
