Mulliner, Bentley's Bespoke Studio, has revealed eight different and unique bespoke collections that have been 'Inspired by China', making up a highly exclusive element of the China market for Bentley. The collections utilises the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB), the Flying Spur, and the Continental GT as unique canvases for the collections, which were inspired by animals, famous art works, and symbolic objects.

In ancient China, koi fishes are believed to bring courage and luck. Therefore, the Bentayga EWB's spacious cabin sports Beluga black interior and Mandarin orange accents. In keeping with Chinese beliefs, the fishes needed to be swimming in a clockwise direction, and as the number six is considered to be lucky in China, six fishes are detailed in the car: Four in the form of embroidery on each seat and two overlays in the veneered waistrails. Gold accents add the finishing touch in the form of a gold rear pillar exterior badge and gold trim inserts.

Bentley also used the famous painting 'A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains', created during the Song dynasty by Wang Ximeng, as inspiration - centreed around the Flying Spur Azure luxury sedan - by using the blues, greens, and golds from the painting to created embroidery and overlays seen throughout its bespoke blue cabin.

Another highlight collection is Ru Yi, which is a traditional Chinese decorative object, often crafted in the shape of a sceptre or wand, that symbolises good luck, prosperity, and the fulfilment of wishes. The Flying Spur collection comes in three colour specifications which include Ru Yi, which can be seen in gold thread to the seat facing and combined with silver overlay to the passenger fascia and treadplates.

Besides the aforementioned designs, the other 'Inspired by China' collections feature Dragons, Lions dancing, and even Pandas playing.
