Nissan Motor Co has launched a revised version of the popular Otti minicar, which goes on sale today at Nissan dealers nationwide.

Marketed under the slogan "SHIFT_365 days: Minicars for daily living," the Otti fits easily into the typical multi-story garage. Key refinements to the new model include redesigned exterior and interior treatments, improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, a reorganized grade selection and new exterior colors.

  •  Revised Exterior and Interior

Building on its clean, attractive styling, the new Otti features all-new front-end treatments designed to add a level of distinctiveness and a high-texture appearance. The Otti S/E grades receive a new front grille and bumper design, while the Otti RS/RX grades offer new grille/inner headlight surround colors and the addition of new lower grille finishers. A total of 12 exterior colors are available (10 colors for S/E, seven for RS/RX), including four new colors: Denim Blue (pearl), Sunflower Yellow, Mint Green and Silky Rose (metallic).

Inside, the interior has been redesigned for both S/E and RS/RX grades. A special Otti logo-patterned seat fabric was adopted for S/E grades equipped with remote-controlled sliding doors. For RS/RX grades, the color of center cluster has been changed to provide a sportier look. Other refinements include the addition of a door-unlock feature, rear seatbelts with self-standing buckles, map lights and a Comfort Flasher. The Otti continues to offer efficient interior packaging and a wide variety of handy storage solutions.

  •  Enhanced Performance and Efficiency

The new Nissan Otti's fuel-efficiency has been enhanced and CO2 emissions reduced through the use of an improved engine control system.

The Otti continues to utilize a standard 660 cc inline 3-cylinder engine, 3-speed and 4-speed automatic transmissions, and 5-speed manual transmission.

    Grades, Pricing and Sales Targets

Along with the other refinements and enhancements, the Otti's grade selection has been reorganized to better meet customer needs.

The Otti is an OEM vehicle, built and supplied by Mitsubishi Motors Corp.

Price range: 997,500 yen to 1,627,500 yen (including consumption tax).

Sales target: 2,200 units per month.
