Renault 5 Turbo 3E LEGO concept could become a reality

Renault has announced that its Renault 5 Turbo 3E LEGO set has now garnered the 10,000 supporters needed for it to pass onto its next phase of assessment on the LEGO Ideas platform where it will be considered for production as an official LEGO set.

The concept is said to have just taken 44 days to garner the needed number of supporters. Designed by U.K.-based engineer Dave Collins, the brick-built tribute to Renault's all-electric 'mini-supercar' is said to have transformed from a one-off passion project into a global success story and earned its place in the official LEGO review process in a fraction of the 32 months normally allowed.

Renault states that Collins' Renault 5 Turbo 3E recreation will be on display on the Renault stand at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, allowing fans of the brand to see it up close come 9 July 2026.
