Volkswagen Singapore has opened reservations for the ID.4 and ID.5 range.

The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro makes use of a 77kWh battery that allows it to deliver a WLTP range of 550km, and powers an electric motor that generates 282bhp. This battery charges at a maximum of 135kW, allowing an 80% recharge to be completed in just 33 minutes.

Also available is the ID.4 GTX, which also makes use of a 77kWh battery that facilitates a WLTP range of 515km. This variant of the ID.4 electric SUV gets dual electric motors, which give the car a combined system output of 335bhp alongside all the benefits of all-wheel drive.

Shoppers are also now able to opt for the ID.5 all-electric coupe SUV from the firm.

The ID.5 Pro gets the same rear-mounted 282bhp electric motor and 77kWh battery, this time allowing the car to achieve a WLTP range of 556km thanks to its lower drag coefficient (0.26 against the ID.4's Cd of 0.28).

The ID.5 range is topped with the ID.5 GTX, which comes with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that delivers a maximum of 335bhp and a WLTP range of 533km. Quick charging this coupe SUV from 10% to an 80% state-of-charge can be done in just 26 minutes thanks to its maximum charging speed of 175kW.

Deliveries for the ID.4 and ID.5 series are anticipated to begin here by May 2024.

Indicative prices for the ID.5 and ID.5 GTX, meanwhile, start at $139,900 and $162,900 (all prices not including COE).

Every new ID. model will come with five years of complimentary servicing and 24-hour roadside assistance, five years of vehicle warranty, and an eight-year battery warranty. Early adopters of the ID.4 and ID.5 range will also get to enjoy an exclusive early bird package that includes a limited edition ID. welcome kit, charging or wallbox credits, a GST subsidy, a Go-Green trade-in bonus, and complimentary premium accessory upgrades, all worth $10,000.

Volkswagen Singapore is also offering a special, limited-run first batch of ID.4 and ID.5 models which will be celebrated with unique '1st Edition' insignias.
