With just seven weeks to go for the sixth Singapore Grand Prix, the organisers have arranged a slew of activities that extends beyond the street circuit.

The F1 circus returns to the floodlights-lit street circuit of Marina Bay from September 20th to 22nd and race organiser - Singapore GP - has announced a number of activities that extends the high octane action from the race track to schools and movie theatres.

    Thursday Pit Lane Experience

For the first time, 2,500 lucky Singaporeans will enjoy access to the Formula One Pit Lane and Zone 1 areas of the Marina Bay Street Circuit. This exclusive experience is usually reserved to Formula One Paddock Club ticket holders.

Moreover you can also enjoy the carnival atmosphere at the F1 Village in Zone 1 and explore the interactive game stations or be entertained by live stage performances and roving acts.

If you are a Singaporean citizen or resident, simply register your interest to stand a chance to win up to 4 tickets to the Thursday Pit Lane Experience.

    Complimentary Preview Screenings of RUSH

Your taste of Formula One track action begins at the movie theatres with the Hollywood production 'Rush' directed by two-time Academy Award winner Ron Howard - famous for directing movies like, Apollo 13, The Da Vinci Code and A Beautiful Mind, among others.

1,500 lucky participants will get to watch the movie ahead of the scheduled release date - courtesy of Singapore GP - who will host free preview screenings of the film at Cathay Cineplexes on the 18th of September 2013.

Rush tells the adapted true story of the epic rivalry between legendary F1 drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda during the 1976 F1 season. The film stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor) as James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl as Niki Lauda. Olivia Wilde also stars in the film as English model Suzy Miller - Hunt's first wife.

If you are a Singaporean citizen or resident, simply register your interest to stand a chance to win a pair of tickets to the preview screenings.

Registration for both the Thursday pit lane experience and Rush preview screening ends on the 22nd August 2013 at 11:59pm.

    FORMULA 1.101

Formula One is often regarded as a source for automotive technology innovation and Singapore GP is inviting members of the Formula One fraternity to inspire the next generation of Singaporeans. Students from polytechnics and universities can understand more about the sport and get their engines running after attending talks by Sauber F1 team and Pirelli on the 18th of September.

While more details pertaining to the event to be announced at a later date, if you already have a burning question or topic of interest in mind - type it down at the Singapore GP Official Facebook Page or tweet it to @F1nightrace with the hashtag #f1sgp101.

    Singapore GP School Visit

On a younger scaler, Singapore GP will be visiting 15 Secondary schools islandwide to educate students on the world of F1 through educational talks, interactive game stations and a photography exhibition.

A selected few will also have an once-in-a-lifetime experience of embarking in an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Marina Bay Street Circuit in September. The tour will offer students a first-hand look into the Paddock, team garages and hospitality homes, and will even extend to restricted areas like the race control, podium and commentary booths.

Additional perks of the tour include a visit to the F1 Village and a preview of the activities one can expect at the forthcoming night race.

If you're a principal/teacher and are interested to have Singapore GP visit your school, email them at [email protected].

    Singapore GP Gives Back
