To celebrate the win for the 2011 F1 Constructors' world title (isn’t it a little late now?), Renault has announced a limited-edition Twingo RS. The variant will be known as the Red Bull Racing RB7, which was a similar name used for a special edition Clio variant. The special edition Twingo RS has a deep black exterior with sirius yellow highlights and a roof with a checkered flag decal.
Cosmetic updates include an F1-inspired front bumper blade, Red Bull Racing F1 team door decals, wider wheel arches and a rear diffuser. Performance upgrades include stiffer springs and dampers that lowers the car by 4mm and 17-inch shoes. Under the hood a 1.6-litre powertrain develops 131bhp and 159Nm of torque.
On the inside, the cabin gets the same colour as the exterior, with gloss black highlights and a contrast yellow stitching. The center console is stamped with an individually-numbered 'FIA 2011 World Champion' plaque besides a Renault Sport logo inlay that is featured on the gear shifter.
Pricing isn’t announced though it is expected to be available in a variety of markets. A similar limited-edition Megane RS is also on the way.
