  • Touring package announced for the 911 GT3

The 911 GT3 Touring package features cosmetic additions that add to its understated appearance, as well as most of the 911 GT3's optional equipment.

Porsche has announced a new Touring package for the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring package. With a weight of just 1,418kg, the 911 GT3 is delivered with a six-speed GT sport manual gearbox as standard, and can be combined with the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission at no extra cost.

Outside, the most conspicuous difference is the omission of the fixed rear wing found on previous 911 GT3 models. Instead, an automatically extending rear spoiler generates the necessary downforce at high speeds. The anodised aluminium trim strips on the side windows also contribute to its understated appearance.

In the interior, the steering wheel rim, gear selector lever, centre console, and door handles are covered in elegant black leather, creating the atmosphere of a classic sportscar. Similarly, the door entry guards and trim elements on the dashboard and centre console are made of brushed black aluminium.

The Touring package comes with almost all the optional equipment for the 911 GT3. This includes Porsche's Dynamic Light System Plus, ceramic brakes, Chrono performance upgrades, and premium audio systems.

With the seventh iteration the iconic high-performance sportscar, Porsche has transferred race technology to a production model more systematically than ever before. The GT3's double-wishbone front suspension, as well as the uncompromising aerodynamics and redesigned rear wing originate from the successful 911 RSR GT racing car.

The interior aims to recreate the atmosphere of a classic sportscar
Despite a wider body, larger wheels and additional features, the weight of the new GT3 is on a par with its predecessor, weighing 1,435kg with Porsche's PDK dual-clutch transmission. The bonnet, being made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, exemplifies the focus on weight-saving, as do the lightweight glass windows and forged alloy rims.

Porsche Design also offers a unique chronograph for 911 GT3 Touring package customers. The timepiece is exclusively reserved for owners of the vehicle.

Porsche Singapore is offering the Porsche 911 GT3 at a starting price of $724,888. The Touring package can be specified as an option at no extra charge.
