Singapore's leading car distributor Borneo Motors kickstarts its 50^th anniversary celebration with the 27^th edition of Toyota Classics, a musical charity event to be held on 4^th November 2016 at Capitol Theatre. 2016 also marks 50^th anniversary of Singapore-Japan Diplomatic Relations. 

In line with the belief that music knows no boundaries, this will be a cultural celebration befitting the two nations' long-lasting friendship through a night of music. Since 1990, Toyota has promoted classical music to support charities across Asia, hosting over 190 concerts through the years. With the theme, Music that Moves Lives, Toyota Classics aims to touch the lives of people both within and beyond the concert hall.

This year's programme celebrates a musical milestone for Toyota Classics with the introduction of 'Singphony' featuring Singapore-born Pianist and Composer Pamela Tan-Nicholson and highly-acclaimed Artistic Director and Violinist Vasko Vassilev. Joining them will also be the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra from Poland who has performed widely in Europe since 2008, and won the Polish Grammy for Best Music Album in 2015.

This year, Borneo Motors and Toyota will dedicate the fundraising efforts to the Singapore Children's Society, a voluntary welfare organisation that protects and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions, especially children, youths, and families in need.
