VINCAR Group strengthens partnership with Grab

VINCAR Group has strengthened its partnership with Grab through the deployment of Aion Y Plus electric vehicles into the GrabCab fleet, marking the next phase of the companies' collaboration in advancing electric mobility for Singapore's commercial transport sector.

The milestone was marked by a sharing session hosted by VINCAR Group for prospective GrabCab driver-partners, where attendees learnt more about the Aion Y Plus, its suitability for daily taxi operations, and the ownership experience backed by VINCAR Group.

The latest deployment builds on the successful introduction of Aion electric vehicles into GrabRentals' private hire fleet, reflecting Grab's trust in VINCAR Group's ability to deliver reliable electric mobility solutions across different commercial transport segments. Expanding from private hire to taxi operations demonstrates the versatility of the Aion lineup while reinforcing its suitability for high-mileage, everyday use.

The Aion Y Plus was selected for attributes that meet the demands of professional drivers. Its spacious cabin, class-leading 1,020 mm rear passenger legroom and generous interior storage enhance passenger comfort, while its 565km city driving range helps maximise time on the road by reducing charging interruptions. Wide 90-degree rear door openings and ISOFIX anchor points further improve accessibility for families, elderly passengers and riders travelling with child seats, making the vehicle well suited to Singapore's diverse commuting needs.

The expansion of the partnership reflects a shared commitment by VINCAR Group and Grab to making electric mobility more practical and accessible for professional drivers.
