One of the winners, Mr. Indra Kurniawan, was delighted with his win as he has not won a prize in many years and added he 'couldn't stop smiling' when he received the winning receipt.
Under the promotion, Shell Escape members who spend at least $50 on Shell fuel and spot the winning message on the back of their Shell receipts would instantly win the equivalent of their fuel purchase. Shell will match the amount spent - dollar for dollar - rounded up to the nearest $10.
In addition, customers who pay with Citibank credit cards will win double the amount spent. The promotion runs until Sunday, the 13th of July.
