  • A feast for the ears: Alpine Car Audio Singapore

    05 May 2026

    |

Alpine Car Audio has brought its complete 2026 range on our sunny shores, offering local drivers the chance to spruce up their in-car audio experience.

Japanese audio brand Alpine Car Audio (Alpine) has brought its complete 2026 range to Singapore, covering everything from entry-level speaker upgrades to a flagship Hi-Res system, with dedicated solutions for EV owners.

It also means the full R Series, S Series, DP Series, and DM Series speaker ranges, along with Alpine's DSP processors and display audio head units, are now available together through local retailers, making it easier to build a complete, warranty-covered system without sourcing parts from overseas.

With Alpine having brought its entire range of products to Singapore, this now makes it easier to have a full warranty-covered system without sourcing parts from overseas

And for drivers of other popular EVs on Singapore roads (including BYD, Hyundai's Ioniq, and Volvo's EX range), Alpine's speaker lineup is fully compatible. Most Alpine speakers are built around standard OEM mounting dimensions, meaning they fit directly into factory speaker locations without structural modification.

For EV owners considering a car audio upgrade and wanting better sound without compromising their coverage, the installation is clean, reversible, and does not require cutting or splicing into the vehicle's wiring, keeping the car warranty-safe.

The S Series balances lightness with rigidity for accurate, low-distortion playback

S Series: The smartest first upgrade

The S Series uses a woofer cone made from polypropylene, glass fibre, and mica, a combination that balances lightness with rigidity for accurate, low-distortion playback. Alpine's HAMR (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround technology is built in for maximum cone movement, and the cloth dome tweeter is Hi-Res Audio certified. The whole system is designed to run off a factory head unit, no external amplifier required.

The result is an immediate and noticeable improvement in vocal clarity, bass definition, and high-end detail over any factory speaker, and an installation that does not require touching anything else in the car.

Best for: First-time upgraders and daily drivers running a factory head unit.

The R Series is known for its characteristic punch and control at volume

R Series: Alpine's most popular performance range

The R Series is regarded as the brand's most popular performance range. Alpine's HAMR surround increases cone excursion while maintaining linear movement, which is the combination that gives the R Series its characteristic punch and control at volume. Magnesium hard-dome tweeters are Hi-Res Audio certified to 40kHz.

The sound is energetic and engaging. Bass is controlled and present, the midrange is clear, and the highs extend with detail rather than harshness. In a quiet EV cabin these qualities come through particularly well, revealing layers in recordings that factory speakers simply cannot reproduce.

Both standard and Pro variants are available, with the Pro models adding die-cast aluminium baskets and a three-way configuration for a more separated soundstage.

Best for: Drivers who want serious performance without overcomplicating the build.

The DP Series is designed with plug-and-play functionality for specific vehicles

DP Series: Clean integration for BMW and premium cars

The DP Series is designed with plug-and-play functionality for specific vehicles, including dedicated BMW Plug & Play kits. Everything fits directly into factory locations without modification. No cutting, no brackets, no visible evidence of the install.

What you gain is a sound that a factory system simply cannot deliver. Instruments separate cleanly across the soundstage instead of blurring together. Bass becomes tighter and better defined, carrying through the door properly rather than dissipating before it reaches you, and vocals sit forward and clear.

It is the kind of improvement that makes you realise how much information your original speakers were losing, delivered in a package that looks like it came straight from the factory floor.

The DM Series makes the audio sound natural and composed at any volume

DM Series: Refined sound for daily driving

The DM Series is tuned to make everyday listening genuinely enjoyable. Where factory speakers tend to sound congested and two-dimensional, with everything pushed into the same flat plane, the DM Series opens the music up.

There is more air around vocals, more separation between instruments, and a low end that feels controlled rather than boomy. Streaming audio, which makes up most of what people listen to in the car, benefits noticeably from the improved cone materials and crossover tuning.

The result is a system that sounds natural and composed at any volume, making long drives noticeably more pleasant without demanding any attention from the listener.

Best for: Drivers who want a meaningful step up from factory sound without building a complex system.

The Status Series offers a consistent tonal character from bass through treble

Status Series: When sound becomes the point

The Status Series uses carbon composite cone construction across all drivers, woofer, midrange, and tweeter, giving the system a consistent tonal character from bass through treble.

Alpine's proprietary Double Gathered Edge Surround delivers ultra-low distortion and linear cone movement across a frequency response of 55Hz to 60kHz. Factory-fit configurations are available, designed to slot into most standard speaker holes without custom work.

Paired with one of Alpine's PXE series DSP processors, the soundstage becomes wide and precisely layered, with the kind of detail and imaging that most drivers will never have encountered from a car system before.

Best for: Enthusiasts who want audiophile-grade performance without a full custom build.

The F#1 Status lets users hear everything, such as the breath of the vocalist and the subtle interaction between a musician and their instrument

F#1 Status: Alpine's Flagship, now available locally

The F#1 Status is the first car audio system in the world to achieve 384kHz/32bit Hi-Res Audio playback, more than 17 times the digital audio data of a standard CD, and beyond even the standard Hi-Res spec.

In practical terms, that means the music files it plays contain detail that lower-resolution formats discard, such as the breath of a vocalist, the body resonance of an acoustic instrument, and the subtle interaction between a musician and their instrument in a live space.

To put it simply, you are not hearing a compressed approximation of a recording; you are hearing the recording.

Every component was engineered from scratch to handle that spec, from the DSP and balanced XLR signal path down to the four-way speaker system, which uses Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) for every driver from the 1.0-inch tweeter to the 10-inch subwoofer.

In addition, using the same cone material throughout keeps the tonal character consistent across the entire frequency range, something no conventional speaker system achieves.

The result is a soundstage that most people have simply never experienced in a car: Wide, deep, and precisely defined, with a level of micro-detail that turns familiar recordings into something that feels genuinely new.

Best for: Those who want the best possible in-car audio.

This system is the industry's first complete aftermarket sound system upgrade purpose-built for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y

Alpine's Tesla Plug & Play System: A first for Singapore EV owners

One of the most significant additions to the local Alpine range is the Tesla-specific plug-and-play audio system.

When it launched in 2024, Alpine announced it as the industry's first complete aftermarket sound system upgrade purpose-built for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, requiring no cutting or vehicle modification.

The system replaces the full cabin speaker complement across 11 or 13 positions depending on configuration, as well as adding a 10-inch sealed subwoofer in the trunk. A 12-channel DSP amplifier comes pre-tuned specifically for Tesla's interior acoustics, and every component uses direct-fit harnesses designed for the brand's wiring architecture.

If you were thinking of looking up the complete 2026 Alpine range and/or considering buying one for your vehicle, you can visit Alpine Car Audio Singapore's main website for more information and/or its retailers' page.
