A day after Ayer Rajah Expressway was closed due to flash floods, PUB released plans to build a tidal gate as an interim solution to the flood problem.
Heavy downpour yesterday caused flash floods in various areas such as Commonwealth and Orchard, and sections of the Ayer Rajah Expressway had to be closed.
The heavy downpour on the first working day of 2013 has brought flash floods to a number of areas across our island.
