The MRT network hit a new high in a measure of reliability, with trains clocking an average of 690,000km between delays last year.
Reliability on the MRT network has improved since 2011 but there is "much more to be done" to improve it, said Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew.
The 16-year old Bukit Panjang LRT system will see measures implemented by the Land Transport Authority and SMRT to improve its reliability.
