New bus drivers will now have to go through a five-day Enhanced Vocational Licence Training Programme conducted by the recently opened Singapore Bus Academy.
Located at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability, the Singapore Bus Academy provides standardised training for new bus captains.
Bus drivers can soon hone their skills and deal with difficult situations that might be too dangerous to replicate in real life via simulators.
