Elderly drivers with driving licences that are expiring this year will be given a six-month extension to renew them.
A new motor insurance policy, specially designed for elderly motorists, has been launched by the Automobile Association of Singapore.
According to Traffic Police figures in the last four years, older drivers are a bigger risk on the road, rising four percent from 2009 to 2012.
