According to the LTA and SMRT, a software update to the new signalling system being tested on the North-South Line will be installed on Friday evening.
Signalling issues has caused major disruptions to service on the entire North-South Line, as well as the western part of the East-West Line.
Train signalling issues may continue to cause service delays as upgrades to the system will only be completed in 2016 at the earliest.
