Rides taken on the NEL and the Sengkang-Punggol LRT system before 07:30am and between 09:00am and 09:45am will be free.
From 15 May 2025, AMEX users can now use their cards for contactless payment on public transport, and will be charged the same fares as EZ-Link cards.
Collection periods will be staggered depending on commuters' SimplyGo EZ-Link card identification number.
This will take time to implement but will bring the SimplyGo account-based platform on par with features offered by the EZ-Link card-based ticketing system.
We need more time and more than what the current SimplyGo can do to move on.
Commuters who have obtained a SimplyGo card may exchange it for a stored value EZ-Link card, though details will only be available by end-February 2024.
The transition comes in light of the growing numbers of commuters using either SimplyGo EZ-Link or bank cards to pay for public transport rides.
