Brabus, who specialises in tuning Mercedes-Benzes, has now come up with an ECU upgrade system for the Mercedes-Benz 200, 250 and 350 CGI BlueEfficiency petrol direct-injection models, which includes the C, E and CLS-Class.
Called the Brabus Eco PowerXtra CGI kit, the ECU upgrade system increases the power of the four-valve, four-cylinder direct injection engines in the C200 and E200 BlueEfficiency models by an extra 26bhp and 30Nm of torque.
For the C250 and E250 BlueEfficiency models meanwhile, the Brabus Eco PowerXtra CGI ECU tuning kit boosts power output from 204bhp to 230bhp, while torque increases from 310Nm to 350Nm. Finally, for the last engine, which is found on the C350, CLS350 and E350 BlueEfficiency, an additional 18bhp is squeezed out of the 3.5-litre V6 unit.
