Cadillac has revealed the Escalade-V, a performance variant of its large and luxe Escalade SUV.
Cadillac claims the Escalade-V is the most powerful car in its segment, and backs this claim up with a 6.2-litre engine, supercharged to produce 673bhp and a total of 885Nm of torque.
The Cadillac Escalade-V gets 22-inch wheels alongside a quad exhaust system This supercharger is said to be even larger than that fitted to the CT5-V Blackwing, applied here to to broaden the engine's power band, delivering high low-end torque alongside strong high-rpm power.
A 10-speed automatic transmission than takes all this power onto an all-wheel drive system, which allows the Cadillac Escalade-V to complete the zero to 96km/h sprint in just 4.4 seconds.
And to reign all this power in, the Cadillac Escalade-V gets GM's Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 adaptive suspension technology, alongside air suspension. And there's also a performance brake system to call upon, with six-piston Brembo calipers up front, finished in Edge Red.
You'll also note the Cadillac Escalade-V differentiates itself for other Escalades with its unique front and rear fascias, along with Cadillac's signature Sport mesh grille.
