    Seletar Expressway (SLE) was closed for more than 12 hours on Sunday morning after a chain collision with a diesel tanker occurred.


    According to The Straits Times, a stretch of the Seletar Expressway (SLE), heading towards the Central Expressway (CTE) after the Lentor exit, was closed for more than 12 hours on Sunday morning due to an accident involving several vehicles.

    The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the accident involved a private bus, a trailer, a diesel tanker and a car. The expressway was closed to clean up a oil spillage from one of the vehicles.

    According to the police, the bus driver and four passengers suffered minor injuries and were conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for treatment.

    The police also mentioned that they received a call about the about the accident at 9:11am on Sunday.

    News of the closure was first posted by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on Twitter at around 10:00am. At first, several lanes were closed, then the expressway was closed altogether. It was reopened after 11:00pm on Sunday night.
