Porsche combines day-to-day usability and performance in its newly-developed Performance roof box.
The accessory has been subjected to extensive testing with the new Taycan Cross Turismo at speeds up to 200km/h. Trials with other models will take place successively. It will be available through Porsche Centres from May 2021.
At the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach, the roof box had to prove its ruggedness on the off-road terrain track. Vehicle aerodynamics and noise generation were also tested in a wind tunnel.
Like the box, the side blades are available in High-Gloss Black and three other popular colours from Porsche's model range: Dolomite Silver Metallic, Carrara White Metallic and Volcano Grey Metallic. The side blades can also be ordered in the customer's existing vehicle colour. The Performance roof box has a capacity of 480 litres and can be opened from both sides, which permits easy and uniform loading.
