Subaru has announced a new BRZ variant, dubbed the Premium Sport Edition, in Japan. Unfortunately, the sportiness is limited in name as there are no performance upgrades and most of the trim exclusivity is restricted to visual enhancements. 

For the exterior, we get STI 17-inch black alloy wheels and black side mirrors. The Sport Edition can be finished in a variety of body paint colours while the interior will be decked out in a two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats. 

The coupe will also feature a black Alcantara with contrast tan stitching on areas above the instrument panel, top section of the doors and on the sides of the centre console. Other upgrades include aluminium pedals, STI engine button, silver accents and a carbon fibre trim on the dashboard. Additionally, tan leather and black leather with tan stitching are used for the doors, on the gearbox and handbrake lever respectively.  

The Japanese firm claims the BRZ Premium Sport Edition is aimed at speed enthusiasts and will retail towards the end of the year - exclusively in Japan.
