Lexus have sold more than 506,000 hybrid cars since its debut in 2005. The luxury arm of Toyota now boasts the largest hybrid range in the market, offering a hybrid variant of almost of all of its existing lineup.

With a total of 259,000 units sold, the RX hybrid tops the chart, making up more than half of the sales tally. The RX is also the world's first full hybrid in the luxury SUV segment. The CT 200h comes in second at 122,000.

The new generation GS hybrid has also achieved remarkable sales, with more than 8,000 units delivered in the first eleven months of this year. Sporting a rear-wheel drive full hybrid powertrain, the series production luxury model claims another world's first for the Japanese carmaker.

Today, hybrid accounts for a significant 25 percent of all Lexus sales.

With hints at the future direction for Lexus hybrid, such as the LF-CC green lit for production, we are certain that things are just going to get more exciting.
