Lexus has revealed the first teaser image of the upcoming new RX SUV (read our review of the outgoing model here), set to be revealed come 1 June 2022 at 8:00am Singapore time.
The new Lexus RX comes just shortly after the firm launched its new NX compact luxury SUV, as well as the new RZ all-electric crossover, and will compete against the likes of the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the BMW X5.
From the sample image, the new Lexus RX looks set to get a whole new exterior that will bring it closer design-wise to its aforementioned stablemates. The RX also already looks all set to feature the firm's angular head light design, with the swooping daytime running light signature that features so prominently in models such as the Lexus IS Sedan. The SUV also looks set to get a new design for its spindle grille.
No powertrain details have been revealed as yet for the new Lexus RX, although we are expecting it to be available with the firm's 2.5-litre full hybrid drivetrain, alongside the 304bhp plug-in hybrid drivetrain as seen in the NX plug-in hybrid. We are also expecting the new RX to utilise the 14-inch infotainment system as unveiled in the NX in its cabin.
