Charging your electric car in Malaysia could soon become a fair bit easier. The Malaysian government has revealed the first details of a plan that will see a total of 10,000 electric vehicle chargers deployed across the nation by 2025.

More relevant to us here in Singapore is the fact that the 'Garis Panduan Perancangan Petak Pengecasan Kenderaan Elektrik' plan (available for download if you can read Malay here) outlines that a total of 1,100 electric vehicle chargers will be built in Johor state, with a further 900 set for Kuala Lumpur. For those eyeing drives further afield, Selangor state is set to get 4,000 chargers under this plan, while Melaka will get 350.
