Mercedes-AMG has announced that it is commencing the final phase of development of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed.

The car made its debut as a concept ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2024, and prototypes of the limited run model are already undergoing test drives on the roads on northern Italy and set to head to the high-speed test track in Nardo. Mercedes-AMG states that the two‑seater performance car will undergo a test programme that covers more than 3,000km.

Development of the car will cover a host of tasks including fine-tuning of its handling and at high speeds on the test track, while vehicle testing on public roads will be undertaken in cooperation with project partner Pininfarina, renowned experts in small‑volume specialist projects.

Only 250 examples of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed are set to be built, all reserved for enthusiasts of the brand and collectors. The model will be the first of a new ultra-limited Mercedes‑Benz Mythos series of vehicles.
