MINI has released further details of the new Roadster – a total of four variants will be offered, including the base version, a diesel Cooper SD Roadster, Cooper S Roadster, range-leading John Cooper Works edition.

As part of MINI’s rigorous expansion plan, the Cooper Roadster is MINI’s first ever open-top two-seater. Like the Cooper Coupe, the Roadster aims to offer a driving experience akin to go-kart. Now with the option to drive with the top down, MINI claims the experience is closer than ever. As with other models in the lineup, a variety of individualisation options will be offered for the Cooper Roadster.

To compensate for the lack of rear seats, MINI has cordoned 240 litres of luggage space at the occupants’ disposal, through the wide-opening rear gate. Stowage areas are also available at the back of the two seats.
