MINI Singapore invited the media to HyperDrive, a three-storey indoor Go-Kart track in Sentosa for a first look at the new MINI Clubman Final Edition.

The location was specially picked to reflect the future of the MINI brand and its upcoming range of electrified models. MINI has always been synonymous with Go-Karts, with countless people calling these lithe, compact and fun runabouts the closest thing to a Go-Kart that you can legally drive on public roads. You could say that electrified MINI Coopers are practically electric Go-Karts!

But before we transition to the next generation of MINI, the brand has decided to send off one of its most iconic models - the MINI Clubman - with a special edition, the Clubman Final Edition.

Introduced in 1969, the original Mini Clubman shook up the entire automotive market with its unique yet highly practical design. While the original Mini Coopers were famous for its compact body, the Clubman is a stationwagon with its long extended wheelbase and shooting-brake body with characteristic split doors at the rear.

This iconic model was reimagined in 2007 with its first modern iteration featuring rear passenger seats accessed through the Clubdoor that is hinged at the rear and asymmetrically positioned on the right side of the car. The third generation Clubman was introduced in 2015 with two full-sized rear doors and the iconic split doors at the rear.

The limited run of 1,969 units pays homage to the launch year of the original MINI Clubman

The MINI Clubman Final Edition that is showcased today pays homage to the original Clubman with a limited run of just 1,969 units - signifying the launch year of the original car. And of the 1,969 units, only five units will make it to our shores.

As the Clubman Final Edition is based on the Cooper S Clubman in Exclusive trim, it has a high level of equipment, including an 8.8-inch touch display

Based on the Cooper S Clubman in Exclusive trim, the Final Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre engine that produces 176bhp and 280Nm of torque. The Exclusive trim also includes a high level of specification including an 8.8-inch touch display with MINI Navigation System, Apple CarPlay and a Digital Dashboard.

The Final Edition is discerned by its three unique exterior paint colours, Shimmer Copper details and the edition specific graphics and badging

You can identify the Final Edition by the three exterior paint colours that it is available in - Nanuq White, Enigmatic Black and Melting Silver. Unique to the Final Edition is the Shimmer Copper details that can be found throughout its exterior, including the surrounds and upper third of the radiator grille crossbar, side scuttles and Cooper 'S' Blade on the rear, as well as the MINI typical narrow lines graphics on the body, passenger side of the bonnet and the right side of the split doors. Additionally, the exclusive 'Final Edition' lettering can be found on the rear while the '1 of 1969' badge on the C-pillar completes the exterior.

The Final Edition also has a special set of 18-inch alloy rims finished in a copper hue

The exclusive dark Maroon Leather interior is accentuated by exclusive edition-specific badging

The 18-inch Final Edition Spoke 2-tone alloy wheels are also finished in the same copper hue that highlights how special the car is. Inside, you'll find an exclusive Dark Maroon Leather interior, along with more Shimmer Copper details and exclusive edition-specific badging.

With only 1,969 units and just five making its way here, the MINI Clubman Final Edition is an exclusive and fitting homage to the iconic model before the brand welcomes the next generation of electrified MINI Coopers.
