35-year old property agent, Ms Xiao Shi Ying, was fined the maximum of $2,500 yesterday for reckless driving that caused hurt.

Shi Ying, coincidentally saw her husband, 41-year old property agent Wong Hsien Loong in a car together with a female passenger, when she was driving along Clementi Road. She called out to him by sounding her car horn but he ignored her and moved away. Suspecting her husband of having an affair, Shi Ying trailed her husband and at one point their cars brushed against each other and came to a stop shortly. She alighted and acknowledged him by tapping his car window, but Hsien Loong drove off.

The trail continued until the junction of Commonwealth Avenue West and Vista Exchange Green where Shi Ying lost control of her car and a chain of accidents followed. Shi Ying swerved right and overturned on the adjoining lane after hitting the back of Hsien Loong's before hitting Project Manager Chionh Chai Binn's car. Hsien Loong's car then hit the back of Goh Ghee Min's cab.

Hsien Loong suffered a fracture to his left finger bone while the other men had muscle strain.
