According to the source of the rumoured report, the hatch will be positioned as a younger sibling to the popular GT86 and will be based on a re-imagined version of the Rush crossover.
Details are scarce at present but according to Motor Trend, the car could come fitted with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 150bhp.
