A very limited edition Saab Turbo X was unveiled last night at the Saab City Showroom. Only 2,000 units are available globally and car enthusiasts in Singapore finally had the chance to come up-close with this exclusive luxury performance car.

The black Turbo X was revealed in front of the 100 or so guests. Unfortunately, only four units of the premium Turbo X Sport Sedans are available in Singapore and after last night's launch event, all of these desirable machines have now been spoken for at a price of $208,888

Said Ms. Ong Lay Ling, Managing Director of Trans Eurokars, "The launch of the Saab Turbo X was a highly anticipated event for all of us at Saab and we're really pleased that the response so far from our customers has been extremely positive."

For the first time in Saab's turbocharging history, Saab unleashes turbo power through Saab's XWD all-wheel-drive system, which will be available soon in other models of Saab.

The powerhouse at the heart of the Turbo X is a 2.8-liter V6 turbo engine, generating a powerful 280 hp at 5,300rpm and 400Nm of torque, allowing the Turbo X to burst from 0 to 100kph in a mere 5.7 seconds in the manual version.

The all-aluminum engine block has cylinder banks set at a 60-degree angle, variable inlet valve timing and twin-scroll turbocharging. It is offered with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Interested parties can look forward to more exciting launches as Saab introduces the XWD system to all of its upcoming Aero models.
