Jaecoo J5 BEV

Review

Jaecoo J5 BEV clearly stood out in the exhaustive evaluation. The many technical and price performance of J5 impressed me. What really made me decide on this is Serina Goh. She is exceptional in the entire interactions. She is knowledgeable. While keen to close the deal she is not pushy. Very patient in answering all my questions. J5 and Vertex set itself apart from the pack because of her. She is a tremendous asset to have. She is sincere and genuine.

Day 1 of J5

Review

Collected my J5 within 6 weeks from the day I first looked at Vertex Automobile showroom at Commonwealth.

Great experience with SA Hannah, she is sincere and very helpful from day 1 till the delivery of my car. Many value added services from her.

The J5 is comfortable to drive, plenty of legs space front and rear, powerful and great exterior styling.

Definitely value for money.

New J5 EV owner onboard

J5 EV is definitely a value for money SUV in the market. Spacious cabin and high specs features.

I had a fantastic experience buying my new car from Lawrence. There was zero pressure, zero hidden fees, and he took the time to explain every single feature before I drove off the lot. If you need a new car, go see Lawrence.

One week experience after own Jaecoo J5 EV
consumer review icon image
Review

Here below is my general experience after change from 9 years old Kia Cerato to Jaecoo J5 EV.

1) Tall SUV compare to Sedan. The driving view is totally difference. With higher view generally you can see further.

2) tech wise, besides all the safety feature with Kia do not, the most impressive is J5 come with full panoramic view. The second row benefit from it as we can enjoy the sun light especially during evening time. Second point I would say is auto hold function where I no longer need to press the brake while waiting for traffic light.

3) save on petrol cost. With same driving pattern(light petal in normal mode in Kia vs eco mode in Jaecoo), in the past I roughly achieve 14km/L while driving Kia Cerato, for the Jaecoo J5EV, manage to clock in 6.9km/kWh(slightly better than it claim WLTP 402KM). If compare by monthly travel 1500km. Petrol cost is $289, but estimated electricity cost only around $150. Almost save half but the saving will go to road tax anyway. But still worth it because this is Cat B car, even with eco mode still more powerful than normal mode in Kia.

4) time saving, before switch to EV, I do have range anxiety as well and worrying about wasting time in DC charging if compare to just pump petrol. But after own it, seems very different that I save the time go to petrol kiosk pump petrol. Night time after back from work, I just need to charge it in MSCP and second day car ready to use with full charge, in SG seems really not necessary go DC charging especially now almost all the MSCP have charging point.

Overall I would say this is the smart switch from ICE car to EV. and especially for Jaecoo J5 EV since now CAT A & B seems almost no difference. With same car price I can have more power if compare to those detune EV just suit CAT A category.

5) power comparison. J5 the power come very linear if compare to Kia. This is due to no clutch, very very useful while in express way to overtake other car.

Will try to input more details after one month drive. But overall really impressive for current J5 EV I own it.

A One-Month Love Affair: Switching to the J5 EV (Luxury Vibes with a Side of Adrenaline)
consumer review icon image
Review

I've officially crossed the one-month mark with the Jaecoo J5 EV after completely abandoning internal combustionโ€”and honey, there is no turning back.As a first-time EV owner, I'll admit the first 1 to 2 weeks were a bit of a digital detox struggle.

Getting used to regenerative braking and navigating the screen instead of traditional buttons felt like learning to fly a spaceship. But once your brain syncs up with the machine? It is an absolute breeze.Let's talk about the looks: the exterior serves pure luxury-brand energy.

It gives off strong European/Range Rover vibes with its bold, boxy, minimalist linesโ€”turning major heads at the HDB multi-storey car park and shopping mall pick-up points. Inside, it feels premium and punchy for the price.Driving it daily is incredibly smooth.

The 540-degree camera system makes tight parking spots a total flex (you can see right under the chassis!), and the instant electric torque makes overtaking effortless.

The Only Spicy Critique:The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is stellar on long, straight stretches, but keep your hands firmly on the wheel when hitting sharper bends. If you trust it completely on a curve, it tends to overrun the lanes and drift out. It's a sudden, heart-stopping thrill that will flash your life before your eyesโ€”great alternative to an iced kopi if you need a quick spike of morning adrenaline!

Overall, it's a gorgeous, tech-packed ride that punches way above its price bracket. Just respect the autonomous tech and stay alert on the bends!

Landrover ev
consumer review icon image
Review

Chery owns landrover and jaguar so this car is built on range rover platform. Unfortunately the drive is so so. The instrument cluster is too primitive and smaller than dongfeng vigo. The centre screen is vertical not as common as horizontal ones out there. The j6 has bigger screens and sells better as not much price difference. Only good thing is it is very spacious but inside the car suddenly dun look big to drive with the help of 540 cam.

I had a very positive and pleasant experience in purchasing the Jaecoo 5 with Kenny of Omoda Jaecoo at Commonwealth. The car offer good value and offer good pratical daily use. The interior is minimum, but not everything is touch screen. There are physical button like adjust the side mirror, open/close the window.

Special thanks to Kenny, who was patient, helpful and responsive throughout my purchase process.

Anyone who is interested to purchase a Omoda or Jaecoo can look for Kenny Koh at Commonwealth showroom.

Awesome car for an EV!

I recently collected my Jaecoo J5 from the commonwealth showroom & would like to share my experience.

From start to finish, it was a smooth amd pleasant experience. My sales consultant, Hannah, was very attentive throughout the whole process & she made it great as everything was settled & done in less than 2 weeks! Do contact her at 81532695 if you are keen to view the Jaecoo Cars.

She was knowledgable about her car products and showed us the different features the J5 had. The car is smooth, powerful, plenty of space, comfortable & has plenty of tech inbuilt into its systems as well. Great for a family car with a feel of luxury.

On top of that, Hannah did the calculations and tried her best to meet our requirements as well.

I would highly recommend anyone looking to get an EV to check out Jaecoo brand and look for Hannah, she is truly hardworking and passionate about her job. Thank you once again!
