A red Mazda sedan overturned after it slammed through a railing and mounted a grass patch yesterday afternoon near the Braddell flyover. The car was stopped by a Hyundai, travelling in the opposite direction.
The male Mazda driver escaped unhurt while the Hyundai driver, a 33-year old female, was conveyed in a conscious state to the hospital for injuries to her neck and shoulder. The husband of the Hyundai driver, Mr Chia, told The Straits Times they were sending their daughter for piano lessons in the Marina Bay area.
The local paper also reported the Hyundai was travelling at about 40km/h as it was commutting along a bend from Toa Payoh into Braddell Road. The Mazda driver refused to speak to the media.
