Rumours about the new Mercedes-Benz E Class have been going around for quite some time already. Now, the source of information (albeit in German) most likely to be accurate would be from these brochure scans, although it doesn't look entirely finalised.
Included are photos of how the new Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde models might look like, and also engine variants.
According to the pictures, the new E200 will have a 1.8-litre engine producing 181 hp and 270 Nm of torque from 1,800-4,200 rpm. Topping the range is the E500 with a 5.5-litre V8, with apparently 380 hp and a twisting force of 530 Nm.
