Kia EV5 Electric

The EV5 is sturdy, safe, and amazingly spacious, though its sheer bulk makes it cumbersome to maneuver in narrow HDB car parks. Mechanical quality aside, the local Hyundai/Kia team made a huge mistake by dumbing down the car's smart features. There's no mobile app for remote battery checking, no Digital Key, and the HUD doesn't support Apple CarPlay map directions—all features standard and MORE in overseas units costing 3x less. No wonder you almost never see an EV5 on Singapore roads, but BYD Sealion 7s are everywhere. To me, it's one of the most complete family EVs in Singapore in this price range, offering comfort, practicality, thoughtful features, and refinement.
